It's been a week of fun, food and appreciation for all Kennedy staff during Staff Appreciation Week!

On Tuesday, PTA treated staff to Jamba Juice smoothies, because KMS Staff put the JAM in Jamba, and help to make everything run SMOOTHly!

On Thursday, PTA sponsored a beautiful lunch spread from Mendocino Farms with yummy and healthy sandwiches and salads. KMS Staff "Mendo" world to us!

We are grateful to have such dedicated, talented, and caring staff for our students at Kennedy!

Thank you for supporting KMS PTA, without which none of this could be possible.

KMS PTA will have a week long dine out fundraiser with Lazy Dog Restaurant & Bar in Cupertino. Go for lunch or grab dinner! From May 11-17, when you dine in or order takeout from Lazy Dog, 15% of your total bill will be donated to the KMS PTA! Bon appetit and thank you for your support!

Sweets Fest is coming! It's the most anticipated day of the year for Kennedy staff, when parent volunteers show off their baking skills and bring freshly baked goods for staff to enjoy and bring home!

We need a minimum of 100 dozen sweet treats so please sign up today and bring your treats to the office on Tuesday, December 17, or in the morning on Wednesday, December 18.

Kennedy's 8th Annual Fall Festival is now history. And what a night it was!

Please see the below comments from our PTA President, Kasturi Ram.

"The Kennedy Middle School Fall Festival, held on October 11, 2024, was a fantastic success, bringing together families and students from M***a Vista High School, Kennedy Middle, and the elementary feeder schools including Lincoln, Stevens Creek, Faria, and McAuliffe Elementary. A big thank you to everyone who came out and enjoyed the Fall Festival!

The festival was filled with fun activities, laughter, and a great sense of community as attendees of all ages enjoyed a variety of events throughout the evening. Some of the highlights included the rock wall climb, face painting, game trucks, and the ever-popular Kennedy Staff Dunk Tank, which brought cheers and excitement from the crowd. Students, friends, and families made lasting memories while indulging in delicious food offerings such as pizza, Taco Bell burritos, Boba, samosas, popcorn, cotton candy, and assorted desserts.

In addition to two photo booths and two climbing walls, live music and performances created a vibrant atmosphere. The event kicked off at 5 p.m. in the North and South Courts of the school, with excitement building as everyone looked forward to the evening’s grand finale. The festival culminated in an outdoor movie screening of Inside Out 2 on a giant 40′ screen. Attendees gathered under the stars on the lower field at 7 p.m. to enjoy the movie, creating a perfect close to an already amazing event.

A special thank you to Fall Festival co-chairs, Rochelle Chu and Joanne Bugarin, for their exceptional leadership in organizing the event, and the Fall Fest Committee for going above and beyond in making the event a roaring success. We would also like to express our gratitude to staff advisors Mrs. Freda Wong and Mr. Chris Scharmen, the student leadership volunteers, and principal Dr.Gwendolyn DeWees for their unwavering support. The festival truly had something for everyone, from exciting games to tasty treats, making it an unforgettable night for all who attended.

A big thank you to the volunteers, board members, and community for making this year’s festival an incredible success! We can’t wait to see you all again next year!"
