Today is Carl Friedrich Gauss's birthday.🎂🎉🥳
As an elementary student, Gauss and his class were tasked by their teacher, J.G. Büttner, to sum the numbers from 1 to 100. Much to Büttner's surprise, Gauss replied with the correct answer of 5050 in a vastly faster time than expected. Gauss had realised that the sum could be rearranged as 50 pairs of 101 (1+100=101, 2+99=101, etc). Thus, he simply multiplied 50 by 101.
In his doctoral thesis from 1799, Gauss proved the fundamental theorem of algebra which states that every non-constant single-variable polynomial with complex coefficients has at least one complex root.

Here are some topics we plan to discuss:
1. I am entering high school. What math course should I take?
2. Can I take Pre-Calculus in 9th grade if I complete Algebra 2 over the summer?
3. What is the difference between regular Pre-Calculus and Pre-Calculus Honors? Which one should I take?
4. What AP courses are available in Math and Physics?
5. What is the difference between Calculus AB and BC? Which one should I take? Should I take both courses?
6. Should I skip Pre-Calculus to take AP Calculus?
7. Can I do Calculus AB in school and take the BC exam? How can I learn the BC concepts?
8. What's the difference between AP Physics 1, 2 and C?
9. My school offers Physics Honors. Can I still take the AP Physics exam?
10. Can I take AP Physics C if I have never done physics before?
11. Should I do AP Physics C Mechanics, E&M or both?
12. Can I take AP courses outside of school and write the AP exam?
