Please join us for our fall quarter concerts in the coming week!
The Music Department has a new faculty member! Dr. Grace Lai will be teaching Concert Band, replacing our longtime Instructor, John Russell, who has retired. We look forward to working with our newest colleague! If you play a Band instrument, you are encouraged to join her in her inaugural quarter at De Anza!
Orchestral musicians: Our De Anza Chamber Orchestra is in need of several students to avoid class cancellation. Please consider enrolling ASAP to keep our tradition of orchestral music making alive!
Fall quarter approaches, but there's still time to enroll in music classes. There are still many with open seats, and we hope you will enroll early to avoid cancellation of low-enrolled classes. Contact Ron Dunn ([email protected]) or Dr. Ilan Glasman ([email protected]) for more information.
This year, the first year of Comprehensive Music - Music 3A/B/C will not be offered due to the drastice budget cuts the college has experienced. To mitigate this, we're offering Music 10A - Music Fundamentals - every quarter this year, and will offer ear training opportunities for music majors in addition to the class. We hope you'll take advantage of this opportunity to gain music literacy skills. Contact Ron Dunn for more information.
