LBP Week 3 • Day 4 — Sand Exploration! 🏖️🤎

Today our little learners got to dig, scoop, pour, and explore with sand! ✨ This hands-on activity gave children the opportunity to use their whole bodies while discovering how sand moves and feels.

Through all the scooping, filling, dumping, and creating, our children were strengthening their physical development and practicing coordination as they worked to complete different tasks. 💪🪣

There’s so much learning that can happen with something as simple as a handful of sand! 🥰 Watching little hands and busy bodies explore, experiment, and create is always a favorite! 🌟

Today our little learners explored nuts and bolts through hands-on play! 🔧✨ This simple activity encouraged children to engage with one another, practice relationships, and learn through cooperative exploration and play.

As they twisted, turned, matched, and experimented, they were also building important STEAM skills—including spatial awareness, shape recognition, problem-solving, and early mathematical thinking. 🧠🔩

We love watching our children learn, explore, and discover together! 💕 Every little turn of a bolt is a big step toward growing curious, confident learners!

🎨 LBP Week 3 • Day 3: My Big & Small Brushstrokes! 🖌️

Today our little artists got to explore painting using both big and small brushstrokes! 💕 This hands-on activity gave our children the opportunity to strengthen their fine and gross motor skills while using their hands, arms, and muscles to create and explore through play.

As they painted, they practiced coordination, control, and movement—all while having FUN and expressing their creativity! 🌈🎨

We love watching those little hands grow stronger while those big imaginations come to life! 💗

Today, our little learners created colorful tissue paper collages and practiced matching magnetic shapes! 🎨🧲🔺🟡

🎨 Tissue Paper Collage: This activity encourages creativity and self-expression while strengthening fine motor skills, hand-eye coordination, and concentration as children tear, pinch, and place the tissue paper.

🧲 Magnetic Shape Matching: Our friends practiced matching each magnetic piece to the shape it belonged to! This helps build shape recognition, visual discrimination, concentration, problem-solving skills, and early math skills.

🖐️✨ Also this morning, our infant friends had fun exploring different textures! From soft and smooth to bumpy and rough, our little learners used their hands and fingers to discover and experience the world around them. 💕

Sensory experiences like these are so important for infants because they help develop their sense of touch, brain development, fine motor skills, and hand-eye coordination. Exploring different textures also encourages curiosity and helps babies begin to understand how objects feel and differ from one another.

We love creating opportunities for our little ones to learn through hands-on exploration! 🥰🌈
