Andi Settlemoir Barney is a certified sewing machine technician, specializing in vintage and antique machines. We are NOT a dealer of modern machines, so you will never feel pressure from us to buy a new machine. We are the only local service shop that offers free appointments for routine service, so you are only without your machine for 7 days in most cases. You may also drop off your machine at
your convenience, and we do offer Rush service if you need your machine sooner. Each full service includes a 49 point check, cleaning, and lubrication. It is our goal to return your machine as close to new as possible. Additional charge for a full chemical cleaning may be necessary on neglected or old machines. We offer a 90-day labor warranty on all service. If you are interested in maintaining your machine yourself, or learning the art and skill of sewing machine repair, we are in the process of building the Sewing Doc Academy. All classes, workshops, and certifications will be online, both in streaming and live sessions.
