Congratulations to Andrew and Elisea Hamilton. Both father and daughter were promoted to Purple Belt in BJJ by Professor Jeffrey Donovan. This was extra special because of the years of training together, and the fact that they were promoted at the same time to the same rank. Technically, Elisea was promoted before her father by about 2 minutes, and so she has seniority over him 😉

A BIG congratulations to Elisea, Wolf, and Luna at the 2026 TN Judo State Championships this past weekend. All fought tough competitors. Elisea claimed Gold. Wolf and Luna both claimed Silver!

The CMAC Team did a GREAT job at the Nick Goodly Invitational.

A BIG CONGRATULATIONS to Malcom at our sister school for earning his Shodan! He’s spent many years and put in serious effort. Well earned Judoka!

Congratulations to our newest green belts and white/yellow belt in Judo! Congratulations to Team CMAC’s first youth BJJ promotion to grey/white! Well earned team!!!!

Congratulations to Sensei Joshua Ruiz for winning Gold at Senior Nationals in the Veterans division! And congratulations to Elisea Hamilton for winning Silver in the IJF Juniors division!!! Sensei Andrew Hamilton was on deck as Coach for the matches.

There was some GREAT Judo today at the Tennessee State Championships. All competitors fought hard, and showed wonderful sportsmanship both on and off the mats!

Our Kids Team went to Junior Nationals this weekend and worked HARD! Lots of GREAT competition and camradery. Nicholas even earned his first medal at a National level event! Well done team!

Congratulations to all of our students who were promoted tonight! You’ve put in a year of HARD work and earned those belts!

Last official Judo practice of 2023! Lots of students off on Christmas vacations, but we had a good Ne Waza practice, and finished up with some fun rounds of Sumo! We’re looking forward to a GREAT 2024!
