This trend is just too cute not to jump in on 😍

She dropped her head and spoke in a whisper, almost ashamed to put those feelings into words
“I don’t think my baby likes me”
💔
I wish that wasn’t the first time I have heard that, but sadly it’s not.
And I told her that.
And that it is absolutely not true.
💕Your baby loves you more than anyone in this world.

Yes. We help figure out why your baby is struggling and come up with a plan to resolve this.
But the heart and soul of what we do is help you cultivate the confidence for a lifetime of connection with your baby.

Congratulations to Gia and baby Theo on graduating from tongue tie & feeding therapy🥳 We NEVER “discharge” a baby from care because as Gia said today, “I don’t worry about my breastfeeding journey anymore because I know that, whatever comes up, I can always come back and get the support I need to be successful.” We DO celebrate a LOT of graduations🎓

There are so many things you could worry about with a new baby. I never want breastfeeding to be one of those. So, if you are struggling and worried, come visit us . We’d love to be celebrating your graduation day with you soon🥰
(Sweet Theo was not so thrilled about waking up to take that photo but he’s too adorable not to capture)

🌿 Danielle’s story is so inspiring. And it gives hope to so many lactating parents who have had a breast reduction procedure or breast surgery for other reasons.

Many parents wonder whether breastfeeding is possible after breast reduction surgery . And, as in Danielle’s case, many parents are given very discouraging and un-informed information. But, the real answer is YES, it is possible to breastfeed - but it also depends on individual circumstances and a personalized plan.

✨ What matters most:
Breast reduction can affect milk production depending on how much breast tissue, glandular tissue, and nerve connection were preserved during surgery.
💫 Key factors that influence success:
* How the milk ducts and nerves were affected — especially around the ni**le and ar**la
* The type of surgical technique used
* How well prolactin and oxytocin signals can travel between the brain and breast
* How long it has been since the procedure
* Support and monitoring in the early postpartum period
🌸 Because of these factors, there is a wide degree of variability in each parent’s breastfeeding success. Milk supply is NOT the only way to measure success. Even with reduced supply, partial breastfeeding combined with supplemental feeding can still be a powerful way to bond, comfort, and nourish your baby.
👶 At Flourish and Thrive Lactation, we help families navigate this journey with:
* Expert lactation support and milk supply optimization
* Nutritional supports for glandular recovery and hormone balance
* Emotional support for the postpartum transition
💗 Every drop of milk — and every moment of connection — counts.

I’m sitting in my sweet little office this morning preparing for the day ahead and I was just struck at the joy I have had in this space. I have lost count of the numbers of mamas, babies, daddies, grandmothers, siblings and supportive friends and colleagues who have sat in this space with me.

It has been a sacred privilege to share the deeply intimate moments of your lives with you. We have laughed together, cried together, celebrated big achievements and mourned the loss of some others.
My career as a Nurse Practitioner has taken lots of twists and turns - each deeply meaningful and with their own purpose. But,the decision to pursue lactation and the ability to work with mamas and babies in the very beginning of the motherhood journey - to watch you fall in love with being a mommy even in the most difficult of feeding struggles has truly been my greatest joy.

My own journey and business has changed as I’ve learned more about your daily struggles and challenges - I have pushed myself to learn more, add more support, collaborate with more professionals to fill in the gaps to better meet your needs.
I had a dream at the very beginning of what that looked like. And very soon we’ll be taking a big step forward in bringing that dream to life. I’m excited to bring you along with me. Stay tuned - the best is yet to come.🥳🤩

Here’s a little glimpse into working together from this sweet mama Ansley. I absolutely love this work so much 🥰
🤱
I cannot recommend LuAnn enough! From the moment we connected, she made me feel heard, supported, and empowered during a time that felt so overwhelming. LuAnn is incredibly knowledgeable, patient, and compassionate, taking the time to truly understand my concerns and tailor advice to my unique situation.

She was especially helpful when we discovered my baby had both a tongue tie and a lip tie. LuAnn not only educated me about what this meant for breastfeeding but also provided practical strategies to make feeding more comfortable and effective for both me and my baby. Her expertise and step-by-step guidance helped us navigate this challenge with confidence.

Beyond the technical support, she was a constant source of encouragement, making me feel supported every step of the way. Thanks to her guidance, we overcame challenges I thought were insurmountable, and I feel so much more confident in my breastfeeding journey.

If you’re looking for a lactation consultant who truly goes above and beyond, especially with specialized issues like tongue ties and lip ties, look no further than LuAnn. She is a true gem, and I am so grateful for her expertise and kindness!

I thought I might jump on this fun trend for Nurses Day.
I’m known by many names. And they all hold special meaning to me - each very sacred in their own way. But they all signify to me how blessed this life has been.

Those letters at the end add up to a lifetime of getting to do things that light up my soul everyday. My career path has been long and quite diverse- serving children and families in so many different areas of medicine. All incredibly rewarding. All leading to this opportunity to build a practice that I call my own. Being able to do nursing in a way that lets me serve families in a whole person, root cause approach with love is the greatest blessing I never could have imagined.

I wanted to be a nurse at age 7. I have never been disappointed in that decision. I am Happy on this Nurses Day of that path. I am blessed to work with incredible families who put their trust in me. I am honored to have stood beside some incredible colleagues and friends who chose this path as well.
Happy Nurses Day to you all. 👩‍⚕️

It’s always such a bittersweet day for me when I “graduate” a mom and baby from care.
It makes me so happy to be able help change a story from
“ feedings are very short and always end in crying” (for mama and baby🥺)
To one where baby and mama LOVE breastfeeding 🤱

Seeing those sweet baby faces light up with those toothless smiles when they come into my office just fills my heart to overflowing.
👼
Watching a scared and anxious mama grow more confident and relaxed … well - there is not any more gratifying feeling.
🥰
I look forward to seeing these families who become friends and it’s a bittersweet day to say “I think you can take this from here”.
🤩
I NEVER “discharge” anyone from care. I never close out their chart. My door is always open for milestone check ins, little bumps in the road that need tweaking, or just a little reassurance.
📣
A mama told me today
“I love coming to see you. I always feel so safe with you”.
💓
I am pretty sure that my heart just cracked wide open in that moment. Surely there is no greater compliment than that.
😍
I’ve “graduated” three babies this week, so my overcrowded schedule just opened up a bit.
If you are struggling with your feeding journey and need REAL solutions with a gentle touch, I’d love to help you.
I accept all commercial insurance plans and now have some openings as early as next week.

It’s such an honor to be chosen to work with a family a SECOND time around. I honestly feel like we become family in those hard days and weeks when we are working together to resolve your feeding struggles. Getting to meet your next baby is just a privilege and a joy. It has been so fun catching up with Jordan and her adorable little man. (Can we all just take a pause and admire those juicy lips of his 😋 Little man just had his tongue, lip and buccal ties released and it never ceases to amaze me how much more relaxed and comfortable their little face looks!)
I love this work that I get to do everyday because of these sweet families who find their way into my heart.
❤️
