For the past 8 years for James and 20 years for me, Pinecrest has been a home and family to us, and we love all of you as our brothers and sisters in Christ. God’s providential love and care brought us both to Pinecrest Academy, and this blessed place was instrumental in our meeting and eventually getting married. Teaching at Pinecrest is a calling, and no one knows how long they are called to be at Pinecrest. With the adoption of the twins, we are faced with how to best love and care for them. As I chose to stay at home with Zoey and Jacob at least part-time next year, we asked God to guide us, and we discerned that in this stage of our lives God is calling us elsewhere.
In the fall of 2022, we will begin teaching at Holy Spirit Prep, where we will be able to bring our children for daycare. I will remain part-time and teach every other day based on the school’s block schedule, and on the days when she is not working will be able to care for our children at home.
Although our hearts are heavy at the prospect of leaving Pinecrest, which has been our home for all these years, we continue to place our trust in God, who brought us here, has been with us at every step along this beautiful journey, and will continue to guide us forward. Please know that we will keep all of you and the mission of Pinecrest in our prayers and we ask you to continue praying for us as we begin this new chapter in our lives.
Thank you for all the love and support you have shown us. Each of you has touched us in a very special way and we are so grateful for you in our lives. We will always be a part of the Pinecrest Academy Community. Words can not express how grateful we are for the community of Pinecrest Academy. Please know that you are in our thoughts and our prayer.
Love, Alison & James Stone

So proud of the outstanding work the PA AP Art & Design students and their dedication in creating outstanding portfolios this year! It was my great pleasure to accompany you on your visual journeys and I am extremely proud of you and the growth you have made artistically, in your design thinking and in your maturity as individuals! You amaze me and I am in awe and wonder at the blessings each of you has brought to the me, the Pinecrest Community, the AP community and the world through your God-given artistic expression! The world is a better place because you had the courage to incarnate your artistic ideas into “new epiphanies of beauty”. I wish you many blessings and encourage you to continue to make your life the greatest masterpiece through God’s grace and to become the saints you where created to be!
