🐾 BIG NEWS, HUSKIES! 🐾

We are thrilled to celebrate a $5,000 Outdoor Classroom Grant from the Forsyth County Education Foundation! 🎉

This project is especially meaningful because it began with a student-driven vision—creating a space where learning can happen beyond the walls of the classroom, where students can enjoy fresh air, connect with nature, build community, and learn together in a whole new way. 💚

A HUGE thank you to all of our Duck Dive donors for making grants like this possible! Your generosity gives our students the opportunity to dream BIG and then watch those dreams become reality. 🦆💙

We can’t wait to see our students’ vision come to life as we create a beautiful new outdoor classroom space at Haw Creek Elementary!

We had an AMAZING Parent Academy 101 session on Tuesday, and we are excited to welcome our Husky Families back next week for Session Three!

Parent Academy 101 is a four-session series designed to provide ongoing support for families who are new to HCES. Our goal is to help ensure that you feel confident, connected, and set up for success as you navigate your child’s elementary school experience.

Our third session will focus on Communication and Safety. Families will learn more about how Haw Creek communicates important information, ways to stay connected with the school, and the procedures and resources in place to help keep our students safe. Join us on Tuesday, September 1, from 7:45–8:45 a.m. in the Cafeteria.

🎉BIG NEWS! 🎉 Sign ups are now OPEN for our Haw Creek Huskies Pack Challenge! If we get 50% of students registered by Pack Challenge day, ALL students will get a popsicle during the event.

We’re raising $30,000 for an outdoor classroom, and when you sign up at MyBooster.com, your pack has the chance to head to !

We had a wonderful first Haw Creek Parent 101 meeting this week!
Our next Haw Creek Parent 101 session will be held on August 25th from 7:45–8:45 a.m. in the cafeteria. Please join us to learn more about our school!
This session will focus on academics. Each Parent 101 meeting includes time for questions and answers, meaningful conversation with our presenters, and helpful insight into connecting with and navigating elementary school.

Haw Creek is proud to celebrate our very own Nurse Jennifer who was honored at the Forsyth County Board Meeting for her life saving intervention last Spring. Nurse Jennifer is a truly wonderful addition to our school and we are grateful to have such tremendous onsite medical support for our students everyday. Thank you, Nurse Jennifer!
