Pedicure day for Belle!
And she earned a gold star from the farrier. ⭐️
Belle’s story is long, with a lot of layers… but if you’ve ever dealt with a halter-bred horse, you know farrier work isn’t always their favorite thing. Add in a few extra challenges, and well… meet Belle.
But today?
She dominated.
No sedation. No drama. And we successfully nailed on shoes for the third round in a row. 🎉
That may not sound huge to everyone, but if you know… you know. 💛

Different disciplines. Different goals. Different stories.
But one thing ties it all together… the foundation.
At Callihan Equine, we believe horsemanship matters just as much as ribbons. We believe in cheering for each other, learning across disciplines, growing through the hard moments, and remembering why we started in the first place.
English, western, gaited, halter, recreational riding, fun shows, big goals, quiet rides… there’s room for all of it here.
This is more than just riding.
It’s a journey.
And this is CE. 🐴

Roman got a gold star from the chiropractor today ⭐️
After a few months of struggling with major body soreness, she said he felt better today than he ever has during an adjustment.
And honestly… that’s been the biggest reminder that sometimes there isn’t just one magic fix.
Stepping back from spring shows was hard… but Roman’s comfort had to come first, and it’s proving to be the right decision.
For him, it’s been a combination of things:
biweekly chiropractic adjustments, massages multiple times a week, a special saddle pad, daily anti-inflammatory support, paying attention to his workload, and simply listening to what he needs.
Not one thing “fixed” him overnight.
And not one appointment fixed it either.
Sometimes progress looks like consistently showing up for them little by little until their body finally says,
“thank you… this feels better.”
We’re big believers in doing what works for the individual horse and keeping an open mind. Because every horse is different… and they deserve that kind of effort from us 💙

Reminder: adults need barn therapy too.
Good horses.
Good people.
Fresh air.
Laughter.
A night to unplug for a little while.
So… what kind of Social Night should we plan next? 👀
