We kicked off the long Labor Day weekend with a little something sweet! Our students enjoyed cool and colorful Kona Ice treats while supporting our school through our fundraiser. What a fun way to celebrate the start of the holiday weekend!

Our first graders in Ms. Payne’s class celebrated one another as authors! They shared their writing with peers, gave thoughtful feedback, and cheered each other on as they grow as writers. We love seeing our young authors learn, create, and celebrate each other’s ideas!

On Friday, fifth graders had some fun with the “Saving Fred” STEM activity! 🛟🐛 Students worked together to rescue Fred, using teamwork, problem-solving, and creative thinking to get him safely back into his boat without touching him. It was a fun way to practice communication and perseverance while learning!

Fifth grade always start science off with this lesson to encourage working together in groups.

Our teachers put in the hard work during professional learning setting meaningful goals for the year, collaborating to plan for student learning, and preparing to make a positive impact in the classroom.

We’re so grateful for the time, opportunity, and our wonderful staff that make it possible to connect, learn, grow, and celebrate as a team.

Our kindergartners learned about fire safety today from the Forsyth County Fire Department. Students learned about how to safely exit their home and go to their family meeting place. They also got to see a fire engine and learn about its equipment. A big thanks to the Forsyth County Fire Department for helping to keep our Nighthawks safe!

Our fifth graders recently had the opportunity to learn about our upcoming Passion Specials. Once a month, fifth students will participate in one of the Passion specials that align with their personal interest. A big thanks to our specials teachers offering exciting options. It is so fun to be in 5th grade!
