Lady Hornets finished the night 2-0 at home with another straight sets win over WHSA! 25-16, 25-22!

Players of the game were Caddie Ivy and Mya Hernandez!

Caddie had 6 aces, 4 kills, and 4 digs!

Mya had 6 kills, 2 aces, and 2 digs!

The Lady Hornets win their opening home game of the season in game 1 of their dual match tonight against Yantis in straight sets! 25-15, 25-20!

The high school cross country teams ran well today at the meet in Mineola!

Outstanding performers were Jäger Worrell and Paisley Hargrove!

Both kids finished first for their respective teams and Jäger came home as a medalist finishing in 10th place overall!

The jr high teams will run in Mineola tomorrow morning!

Lady Hornets played well and kept it close against another big school in Grand Saline, but still lost in straight sets. 25-14, 25-19! They are making strides and continuing to see the good things they are capable of, even against bigger competition!

Kayden had a good defensive game with lots of block touches and passes when in the back row!

The Lady Hornets traveled to Union Hill and swept the Lady Bulldogs 3-0! Set scores were 25-12, 25-12, 25-18!!!

Player of the game was Kalea Weatherford who was 1 kill short of a double double! She had 13 aces, 9 kills, and a block on the night!

The Volleyball team will be back in action Thursday at the Lone Oak Tournament!

Last night, JH Baseball defeated Saltillo 9-3 behind a solid pitching performance from Gaige Patterson, who gave up one hit and three runs (two earned) over three innings - striking out six and walking two!

Carson Hegseth came in to slam the door closed with two scoreless innings, zero hits and zero walks, striking out five of the seven batters he faced!

The offense was solid all around, but after moving up in the lineup this week, Coleson Middleton went 2-3 with a big 2 RBI single in the bottom of the third inning to give the Hornets a 4-3 lead which they never looked back from!

That puts our jr high baseball team at 2-0 on the season and will play at Yantis next Monday! Keep up the great work Hornets!!!

The Lady Hornet Volleyball team finished the North Hopkins tournament on a strong note going 1-1 and finishing in 2nd place in the Bronze Bracket! They won the first game in 3 sets and lost to Cumby in 2 although both were close with the score being 25-23!

Players of the day again were Ella Ramsey, Kalea Weatherford, and Caddie Ivy who all had huge impacts in both games today!

Ella had 5 aces, 5 kills, 37 assists, and 2 digs on the day!

Kalea had 5 aces, 28 kills, 2 assists, 4 blocks, and 3 digs!

Caddie had 2 aces, 13 kills on a .348 hitting percentage, and 1 dig!

The Lady Hornets had a tough schedule today playing some of the top teams in the tournament! They went 0-3 but still battled for every point!

Players of the game for game 1 against Bonham were Ella Ramsey with 5 aces, 1 kill, and 2 assists! And Caddie Ivy with 2 kills and 4 digs!

Players of the game for game 2 against Leonard were Kalea Weatherford with 3 kills and 2 digs and Caddie Ivy with 1 ace, 1 kill, and 1 dig!

Players of the game for game 3 were Kalea Weatherford with 5 kills and 5 digs, and Ella Ramsey with 1 kill, 8 assists, and 2 digs!

We don’t know where we will fall into bracket play tomorrow yet, but will look to finish off the tournament strong!
