What an amazing feeling it was tonight to have so many of our families and children back on campus for Back-to-School Night!

Our halls and classrooms were alive with excitement as students ran around, made new friends with our new families, and caught up with friends they haven’t seen all summer. There was so much joy, laughter, and anticipation in the air!

We hope Back-to-School Night was not only informative, but also a wonderful opportunity to gather together, reconnect, and enjoy a delicious dinner as a community.

A special thank-you to our incredible kitchen staff for the amazing feast we all shared tonight!

Wrapping up Teacher Prep Week with a meaningful retreat!

Today, our teachers came together to reconnect, reflect, and remind ourselves of our most important “why”—our students.

A special thank you to Mrs. Morin and Mr. Orndoff for leading us through such a meaningful morning and reminding us of the deeper “why” behind choosing not only to be a educator, but a Catholic school educator—called to educate the whole person and make a lasting difference in the lives of our students.

Together, we’re aligned, inspired, and ready to welcome our students back to campus on Monday! We can’t wait to begin another year filled with faith, connection, growth, purpose, and possibility.

We’re ready. We’re excited. And we’re here for our students!

After a busy week of preparing for the new school year, we are excited to welcome all of our families back to campus for Back to School Night.

Join us at 5:00 PM, beginning in the cafeteria, where families will have the opportunity to meet their children’s teachers, connect with our administrators, and learn more about the upcoming school year.

Students will also have a chance to see their classrooms, become familiar with their new surroundings, and say hello to their teachers.

Following Back to School Night, everyone is invited to join us for our annual Family Picnic. We look forward to spending the evening together and celebrating the start of another wonderful school year.

We cannot wait to see all of our families at 5:00 PM in the cafeteria!

Congratulations to Bishop Walsh’s “Rocky Gap Rovers” S3AM Rover Team!

These five talented students proudly represented Allegany County at the Maryland 4-H Underwater ROV Challenge in Howard County. After countless hours researching oyster harvesting, studying the health of the Chesapeake Bay, and designing a rover to support less invasive harvesting methods, their hard work paid off.

The team earned first place in the Research Competition and an impressive fourth place in the Rover Challenge. As the youngest team at the competition, they demonstrated outstanding teamwork, creativity, problem-solving, and determination.

A special thank-you to coaches Jessica Mellon and Mr. Burkett, as well as the families who supported the team throughout the research, planning, building, and testing process.

We are incredibly proud of the Rocky Gap Rovers and all they accomplished through the S3AM program, Sustainable Shellfish Aquaculture Management.

Great game tonight for the Bishop Walsh volleyball team! The Spartans battled hard and came away with a 3–2 victory over Morgantown Christian, taking three out of five sets!

Strong serving, solid digs, powerful kills, and great teamwork all around. What a battle against a strong team! The Bishop Walsh volleyball team stayed focused, fought for every point, and finished strong.

Both Bishop Walsh JCP minor teams took on Bedford tonight, and it was a great evening of soccer!

The Bishop Walsh Minor Burgundy team came away with a 7–0 win over Bedford!

The kids were so excited to see each other back on the field, with the added excitement of school just around the corner. It was wonderful to see their smiles, teamwork, and enthusiasm!

Tonight, the boys took on Morgantown Christian and came away with a dominant 8–0 victory. The team controlled the game from the opening whistle.

Enoch led the attack with a hat trick, while Anthony added two goals. Michael, Sami, and Isaiah each found the back of the net once. The boys played with great intensity, created plenty of scoring opportunities, and kept a clean sheet from start to finish.

It was a complete team performance from the first touch to the final whistle. Great job, boys, on an outstanding 8–0 win.
