Day 2 in Chicago with our Upward Bound Math Science crew was one for the books! 🎉

Today was packed with adventure as we explored the Griffin Museum of Science and Industry, snapped pictures at the iconic Bean, took in breathtaking views from Skydeck, soared across the city during Flyover Chicago, and wrapped up the evening enjoying the sights and fun at Navy Pier.

Of course, no Chicago trip would be complete without amazing food! We enjoyed lunch at the legendary Ed Debevic's and checked another Chicago classic off the list with delicious deep-dish pizza from the Original Gino's East. 🍕🌆

These students continue to impress us with their curiosity, enthusiasm, and willingness to embrace every new experience. We're making memories, learning together, and having an incredible time exploring one of America's greatest cities. 💙🔬

Day 1 in Chicago is officially in the books, and what a day it was! 🌆🎉
Our UBMS crew hit the ground running with an incredible day of learning and exploring. We traveled back in time at the Field Museum, came face-to-face with amazing marine life at the Shedd Aquarium, checked "eat at the famous Portillo's" off our Chicago bucket list 🌭🍟, and wrapped up the evening with a breathtaking sunset architecture cruise along the Chicago River. 🚤🌅
From dinosaurs to sea lions, hot dogs to historic skyscrapers, today was packed with unforgettable experiences, lots of laughs, and memories our students will carry with them long after this trip is over.
Chicago, you've set the bar high, we can't wait to see what tomorrow brings! 💙🏙️

‼️Attention UBMS Students attending the Chicago Trip ‼️
Listed below are the pick up times for the Charter Bus. Please note the change of pickup locations for Harlan and Pineville. Also ensure you arrive early, we have a schedule we must keep!

Remember to follow the rules and dress code when packing for our trip. Everyone must wear their UBMS Shirts the third day, Wednesday, of our trip. So make sure to pack it! Also pack comfortable walking shoes as we will be doing A LOT of walking; be sure to bring a bathing suit/cover up for the hotel pool.

We are looking forward to having a great trip with you all. See you Monday morning! 😎

🎉 What an incredible final week of UBMS Residential Camp! 🎉

Our students wrapped up camp with an amazing week filled with fun, learning, and unforgettable memories. From exciting science experiments 🔬 and competitive tennis matches 🎾 to a fun movie night 🍿, there was never a dull moment!

We also had the opportunity to tour Eastern Kentucky University, exploring college life and future possibilities 🎓, and finished the week with plenty of laughs and strikes at the bowling alley 🎳.

Thank you to all of our students for making this summer so special. We are so proud of everything you accomplished and can't wait to see what the future holds for each of you! 💙💛

UBMS is leaving Richmond now. We should be arriving at 4:00 Pineville Shell, 4:15 Howards Market, 4:25 Coal bucket, 5:00 Cumberland marathon, and 5:35 pine mt. grill
