Oh no! The holidays are here, and you haven’t found the perfect centerpiece for your table. What are you going to do? Just ask our Makerspace Club to design one for you! Our creators were presented with this exact challenge and were asked to make a centerpiece for Mildred Montgomery's holiday table. But not just any centerpiece. It needed to be one that was festive and colorful but didn't get in the way of conversation at the holiday table. Bravo, creators! Job well done!
Please join us in prayer as we mourn the loss of Sister Rosemary Herron, President of Mercy Career and Technical High School in Philadelphia, PA.
It is with immeasurable sadness that we relay the news of Sr. Rosemary's passing on Saturday evening.
Sister Rosemary was, first and foremost, a servant of God. No one else has affected such a selfless, profound, positive, and loving impact on this school than Sister Rosemary.
We were truly blessed to know her and to collaborate with her in fulfilling Mercy Career & Technical High School's mission to serve the needs of so many students over the years.
May Almighty God grant eternal rest to Sister Rosemary and comfort her family, friends, her fellow Sisters of Mercy, and all of us.
"One thing about trains: It doesn't matter where they are going. What matters is deciding to get on. All Aboard!" Grade 1 enjoyed a magical journey on the Polar Express! At the end of the trip they returned to find their classroom transformed into a winter wonderland. We believe!
The best way to spread Christmas cheer is singing loud for all to hear! Congratulations to all involved in the 2022 Christmas Concert!

Thank you to Father Charlie Galligan and our 7th graders for leading us in prayer as we honored Mary, our Blessed Mother.
The Feast of Saint Nicholas! Students celebrated the tradition today by placing their shoes out in the hallway, in hopes a small gift would be left.
Congratulations to those Mercymount Mustangs inducted into the National Junior Honor Society!
Hatchet, by Gary Paulsen teaches the lesson that perseverance is key to surviving challenges. Our 5th graders learned this first hand as they headed out to build shelters and discuss their homemade survival kits upon completing this novel. Great job by all!

Demonstrating resilience, deep problem-solving and critical-thinking skills, as well creativity, members of our after school Makerspace Club completed this sessions challenge! Using only straws and tape, each member of the club was asked to make a boat that would be strong enough to hold 7 passengers. Job well done, Mustangs!
Congratulations are in order for one of Mustangs as they received a Mayoral citation! “Our debt to the heroic men and valiant women in the service of our country can never be repaid. They have earned our undying gratitude.” ~ Harry S. Truman. Those words remain as true today as they did when he said them 75 years ago. Thank you for your service! Thank you as well to our 8th grade students for a very moving assembly in honor of Veterans Day.

Thank you to Father Charlie Galligan and our 5th Graders for leading us in prayer during our All Saints Day Liturgy.
How is the buoyant force acting on a floating object, related to the weight of the water it displaces? Just ask these 7th graders!
It was a fa-boo-lous evening filled with lots of treats at Mercymount’s 3rd Annual Trunk or Treat! Thank you to all who helped make this night such a spook-tacular success!
