The just friends program is the program I have been volunteering my time for at My son Jakobs school B.F. Norton..... Today is the last part of 4..... Having MS and Cancer and a son and husband with dyslexia a nephew with Autism, I live a great portion of what we covered. it was such a great experience to teach these kids that some people are different look different act different but all of them just want to be treated the same... Such an awesome program for the 4th graders to learn about... Thank you Cumberland school volunteers and Cindy Thorsen for offering the program and dedicating your time to help educate the students and become more aware of some normal (but sensitive) and not so normal aspects of life.... Good afternoon everyone! I am looking to help an elderly couple find someone to shovel or plow their driveway this winter. One of them recently just suffered a stroke and the other is unable to shovel. They live near the high school, any leads would help!

The Cumberland School Volunteers is pleased to announce Catherine Galgay was selected as the recipient of the 2023 Community Service Award.
Catherine has volunteered in many different ways to support the youth in our community. She has volunteered over 250 hours, tutoring students in Math and Spanish, volunteering at the Senior Center and taking part in several Student Government activities, such as Turkey Drives and Adopt-a-Family.

Thank you to all who came out to celebrate our volunteers and support the Cumberland School Volunteers. It was a wonderful night!

Michael has volunteered over 450 hours of service within the community.
