Children at Creekside Hollow are able to drop into a deep sense of therapeutic play, in community, surrounded by nature and all her seasons. We have created an intentional environment in nature - creekside, garden, farm animals and fields, fairy gardens, open ended art projects , nurturing mythology and old fashioned fun. They work out creative solutions in community non stop. They build resilience when things don’t go their way, when nature brings stormy weather ,but we give them the tools to regulate their emotions and realize that their is beauty in a stormy day ( metaphorically too!). With prompts throughout the day that bring them closer to nature , their nervous systems connect to the earth and all the elements. Sign up for our aftercare program for the school aged child !!!! Afterschool nature immersion coming this fall. Mondays, Tuesdays and Thursdays , 3:30 to 5:30. Let your children unwind and intentionally connect with the healing of being one with nature. Creekside Hollow will be offering an afterschool Nature Immersion program ! Monday, Tuesday and Thursday from 3:30- 5:30. Unwind after a day of school in a beautiful outdoor environment. Crafting , nature journaling, animal husbandry and more. Give your child the gift of being outside to decompress with friends while building resilience, inner strength and a connection to the outside world.

After school enrichment coming in the fall!! Mondays , Tuesdays and Thursdays from 3:30- 5:30 for kindergartners - third grade.
Can you spot the trees, deer , salmon and crow? We have been acting out myths, sewing at rest time and adventuring ! The children are dropping into beautiful joyous summer fun. Deep nature connection and kindness leadership.

The summer time fun has begun! Creekside Hollow summer camp - where we drop into the expansive rhythm of summer, harvesting from the garden , feeding and rollicking with the goats, creating puppets , acting out mythology , relaxing under the trees , goofing around and learning that we are kindness leaders. The magic has begun! education

We are enjoying the warmer temperatures. I have found that spring is a wonderful time to introduce nature journaling , when their energy is bursting like the plants. We are building awareness to the small details of nature around us , and getting curious about it. We harvested rhubarb today and by lunch some were slurping down warm rhubarb sauce. Our day was filled with laughter , great conversation , real work and play , spinning and celebrating dandelions and so much more.

Good bye snow! We transitioned outside and had a little snow flurry. We had been busy prepping the soil , planting carrots, beets and peas tha the children will eat in the summer and fall. Our circle times are filled with songs about spring blossoms and birds. Our story this week , from the Cherokee people , was about Great Spirit giving people color to create with though spring flowers. kindergarten

Magic abounds as we find moss hearts, look at snow flakes through magnifying glass, work together to collect and boil sap, and witness and be a part of the muddy fun as winter turns to spring in Maine. We have a new goat who needed friends, and th kindergartners are writing verses beautifully and doing great work in their math main lesson books. Letters and numbers are exciting after a morning of muddy play. #
