We are are very pleased to share an announcement that was communicated yesterday to our Culver Club Leaders and Volunteers from Mary Szymusiak, Special Events Manager within the Culver Advancement Office.
We look forward to the starting the next chapter in our continued efforts to drive value in support of the Culver Alumni network through Culver Club events and outreach. We are very excited to have Gracen not only serving in this pivotal role within the Culver Alumni Office - but also as a coach and leader in expanding our girls hockey program with the newly-formed girls U16 team.

I am pleased to introduce to you a new member of the Alumni Office Staff and look forward to introducing her to you when planning your next Culver Clubs International event.
Please join me in welcoming Gracen Hirschy to the Alumni Office. In her new role as Culver Clubs and Alumni Engagement Coordinator, she will manage the growth of the Culver Clubs International (CCI) organization, including the ex*****on of events that meet strategic objectives in partnership with our staff and volunteers. Gracen will provide leadership, monitor, and serve as the principal point person for the content and user activity posted within our online engagement platform, Culver Connect.
Additionally, as assigned, she will provide support and leadership to the Legion and CSSAA governing boards and the committees within those organizations that partner with CCI and Culver Connect.
Finally, we will ask her to support select reunion classes to serve as a liaison throughout their planning cycle and assist them in executing their events.
Gracen is a 2013 graduate of Culver Girls Academy (Court Dormitory). She distinguished herself in multiple ways during her four-year career. She earned a full scholarship to the University of North Dakota, where she played hockey and earned her bachelor’s degree. She has represented the United States on two different national teams and spent five seasons playing professionally in Sweden. Most recently, she has had multiple responsibilities related to hockey, including coaching and the organization and management of teams. She is finishing a master’s degree in sports psychology.
Outside of her primary role in alumni relations, Gracen will serve as the Head Coach of our newly-formed U-16 team. Gracen has a deep appreciation for Culver’s Mission, and she has performed at the highest levels of her profession. Her demeanor, personality, and leadership skills lend themselves well to the wide variety of Culver alumni, parents, and friends she will engage and manage.
Gracen started her new role on July 5.
