Our 6th grade proudly presented their capstone projects, sharing powerful action research on social justice topics that mattered deeply to them. Through thoughtful research, collaboration, and advocacy, students explored meaningful ways they could be part of the solution and create positive change in their communities.

Following the showcase, one student group brought their learning to life through the first-ever Echo Farmers Market! As part of their exploration of food security and environmentalism, students organized a small market featuring handmade goods, plants, lemonade, and more—all in support of future student projects and local initiatives, including Our Big Kitchen Los Angeles. We are so proud of the leadership, compassion, and creativity our students demonstrated throughout this inspiring culminating experience. 💛

Our 5th grade proudly showcased their hydroponics project at this year’s Culver City Enviro-Fest! 🌱 Held at the Wende Museum, the event brought together organizations and community members dedicated to sustainability, environmental education, and hands-on learning.
Throughout the day, students confidently explained how their hydroponic systems worked and guided younger children in creating their own mini hydroponic herb jars using mason jars, moss, and seeds. From answering questions on the spot to inviting visitors to their booth, it was incredible to watch our grow into thoughtful leaders and communicators.
A huge thank you to Mr. Young and all of the families who supported this meaningful day of engagement and environmental learning! 💚

The celebration concluded with a joyful group performance featuring a dance and a rendition of “This Is Me” from "The Greatest Showman." We are so proud of their hard work, creativity, and confidence on stage!
