Join me this Saturday, Oct. 17 at 11 am PST as I take part in a panel discussion on closing the gap in the digital divide during COVID-19. I will share my research on Ghana's efforts to launch distance learning and Sub-Saharan Africa's emergency remote instruction strategies during the COVID-19 school closures.
"The digital divide has been magnified due to the sudden closing of schools in response to COVID-19. Closing the gap has become a major focal point for educators and politicians to ensure that student have access to education at home. Join the Alumni Education Network and our esteemed panel as we discuss the different ways that they are working to close the gap in the digital divide."
Other panelists include Senator Lena Gonzalez, California State Senator, 33rd Senate District and Josh Van Norman, Superintendent/Principal at San Antonio School District.
