Celebrating 25 Years of Transformation on Saturday, October 26th: The Antioch University Los Angeles (AULA) Bridge Tapestry Project

RSVP Here: https://tinyurl.com/2enp7xrj

Welcome to the AULA Bridge 26th Anniversary Tapestry Project, a celebration of an academic initiative that has profoundly transformed the lives of nearly 1,000 students across Los Angeles County, the nation, and now, globally. This Bridge Tapestry Project aims to weave together the life-changing experiences that have emerged from the Bridge program, capturing its essence in a vibrant and enduring art piece.

Under the guidance of Dr. Fabián Cereijido, an accomplished artist, professor, and author, this project holds significant historical importance. Dr. Cereijido emphasizes the opportunity to create a "big beautiful tapestry" that reflects a collective and community-affirming experience. This Bridge Tapestry Project will serve as a lasting symbol of the Bridge program’s impact and as a poetic metaphor for the shared inspiration and collaborative spirit that defines the AULA Bridge community and Antioch mission.

The historical significance of the Tapestry Project lies in its role as a visual and emotional documentation of a transformative educational journey. For 25 years, the AULA Bridge program has provided students with the tools and support to navigate their unique paths, fostering resilience, creativity, and community engagement. By immortalizing these experiences in a tapestry, we honor the personal stories that have shaped individuals and the larger community, creating a legacy of empowerment and artistic expression.

Dr. Cereijido’s extensive background in art history, including his studies on art censorship and the socio-political movements in Latin America, enriches this project further. His work often explores the intersections of culture, identity, and resistance, making him an ideal curator for a project that encapsulates the spirit of transformation and collective memory.

As we embark on this artistic journey, this Bridge Tapestry Project will celebrate the past and inspire future generations. It is a testament to the power of community, creativity, and education—elements that will continue to shape lives for years. Join us in this monumental endeavor to weave a narrative that honors the impact of the AULA Bridge program and celebrates the vibrant tapestry of human experience.
