Callie Rose Literary Café is an endowed program of Florence Aliese Development Group. Our goal is to promote literacy and the Afro-American literary art tradition of storytelling as tools of dialogue for social transformation. Starting with the Citizenship Schools founded by Septima Clark, Ella Baker, and Miles Horton, this combination has led to major social movements in the past including the U

.S. Civil Rights Movement and the South African Anti-apartheid Movement. We also hope to create sustainable economic pathways for writers and those who want to stay connected to their creative spirit. Be bold and revolutionary by finding and/or strengthening your own voice. The world is waiting to hear your story AND only YOU can tell it.
