Bandai Foundation Scholarship winners at Awards Night. More photos coming soon.
Just received this great letter from a former recipient:
January 6, 2015
Hi,
My name is Enoch Mills and I was a recipient of one of your scholarships through the El Marino Language Learning School PTA back in 2002. I wanted to express my appreciation and thanks for the help. I recognize the sacrifice from many people on behalf of the students in Culver City.
I finished my bachelor's degree in Exercise Science BYU and received my Master's degree in Physical Therapy from Cal State Northridge. I then completed a 1 year residency program in orthopedics at Kaiser Permanente in Woodland Hills and now I have moved with my wife and 2 boys to Salt Lake City and I am practicing physical therapy here full time.
Once again, I am grateful to all those who care enough to help young people to get the right start out of school and help create a more successful community.
Thanks again,
Enoch Mills, MPT, OCS

The Culver City Community Scholarship Fund will give twelve new scholarships in 2015, thanks to a $6,000 grant from the Bandai Foundation, a nonprofit organization established by Bandai, the Japanese toy and video game company, as a way to give back to the community that has made its products successful in the United States.
Each year the Bandai Foundation accepts grant applications from qualified 501(c)(3) non-profit organizations that support children. This year the Bandai Foundation focused its efforts on a campaign dedicated to organizations that promote positive changes in the lives of youth at risk and address the systematic and practical challenges the youth and families face. Special consideration was given to grant applications that share The Bandai Foundation’s 2014 mission.
The award was presented at the annual “Time For Giving” celebration on November 18th at the Bandai America headquarters in Cypress, CA. Scholarship Fund Board members Margaret Fujisawa, Michael Laase and Karen Pyenson attended the ceremony.
