This week, our little biologists were exploring the amazing life cycle of frogs! From tiny eggs to swimming tadpoles and growing froglets, we’re watching the magic of nature unfold right before our eyes.
Our students present: Pǎopǎo Zhèn (跑跑镇) — Run-Run Town: The Musical!

Inside the chrysalis, the caterpillar undergoes an incredible transformation called metamorphosis完全变态.
Its body is broken down and rebuilt, reorganizing into an entirely new form. Wings, antennae, and other adult structures begin to develop during this stage.

After a long journey and plenty of hard work, our little caterpillars have officially emerged as beautiful butterflies! 🐛
The children carefully observed every stage of the transformation — from tiny caterpillars, to forming their chrysalis, and finally completing the difficult process of eclosion (emergence) today. It was a truly special moment of life unfolding right before our eyes.
During the emergence, we even noticed some red liquid at the bottom of the container. We learned this is called meconium(胎粪 / 蜕生液)—a completely natural fluid the moth expels after transforming!
Nature is such a powerful teacher. Just like these butterflies, this experience reminded us that patience and perseverance always lead to something beautiful. 💛

Wake up the classroom with a Run Run Town (跑跑镇) music picture book.
This book is a total game-changer for morning circle. The kids run along to the rhythm, and every time there’s a “CRASH!”, they get to imagine what they’ve transformed into. It’s the perfect mix of high-energy exercise and creative storytelling.
