CTEC EMT students recently put their skills into practice with hands-on training focused on safely lifting and moving patients—an essential skill for emergency medical responders.

Students practiced proper body mechanics, coordinated lifts and transfers, stretcher use, and other patient-movement techniques. Throughout the training, they focused on assessing each situation, choosing the safest way to move a patient, and communicating clearly as a team.

The hands-on scenarios gave students the opportunity to apply what they've learned in the classroom while building teamwork, problem-solving, and communication skills.

For future EMTs, knowing how to safely and efficiently move a patient helps protect not only the person in their care, but also themselves and their fellow responders.

CTEC’s Creators Corner is back with an afternoon of hands-on arts and crafts for elementary students! This time, participants will get creative making puffy stickers and wooden stick puzzles. 🧩🖍️

Our Culinary II students have been sharpening their culinary skills while learning all about chicken preparation and cooking techniques. After practicing their skills, they put that knowledge to work by preparing chicken in a variety of ways.

And, of course, the best part—eating the results!
