Today's spotlight is Avery O'Neill, a student in WCU's Department of Geosciences and Natural Resources interning with Highlands Biological Station's microplastics research project.

Avery's internship has provided opportunities to conduct field research, collect environmental data, and share scientific findings with professionals, all while helping advance important research in Western North Carolina.
