🥾Building Skills and Connections: A Summer in Breckenridge🌲

This summer, Gabrielle Bretz (Hospitality & Tourism Management and Marketing) had the privilege of spending a month in beautiful Breckenridge, Colorado, where she gained invaluable experience while working two different jobs in the hospitality industry.

At Fatty's Pizzeria, Inc., her uncle and aunt's restaurant, she served as a hostess while also taking on semi-management responsibilities. Gabrielle worked as a server at Kelly Green at Ridge Street Kitchen, where she assisted with three weddings and two celebrations of life.

Beyond the professional growth, the month was filled with meaningful relationships, valuable connections, and unforgettable memories. Breckenridge left a lasting impression on Gabriella, and it will always hold a special place in her heart for the people and experiences that made this summer so rewarding.

Bretz's experiences have further confirmed her passion for the events industry and strengthened her excitement about pursuing a career in it. Summer internships and work experiences are important because they provide real-world opportunities to develop professional skills, explore career interests, build networks, and gain confidence in a chosen field.
