WCU Technology Commons

Walk-up technology support for WCU. We welcome WCU faculty, staff, and students to visit the Technology Commons for any technology guidance and support.

Our mission is to provide IT support to the WCU campus community, enrich the total student experience and promote the academic mission of the University. We strive to do this by providing one location complete with a relaxing, collaborative atmosphere, software and technology training, access to advanced technology and software, and IT support and assistance. Apple and Dell demo rooms are open to

show off current models available for purchase. Specialty equipment for checkout and PawPrint printers are in the area for general use (see complete checkout list under products). Comfortable seating is available for student groups or individuals that want to work wirelessly with laptops; in addition we have Apple & Dell computer stations. Adobe Creative Cloud can be found on computers with a red Adobe CC sticker.

Can't get back into your myWCU account?
Use password.wcu.edu to reset your password with Microsoft Authenticator. When creating your new password, be sure it meets the password requirements listed below.

From Friday, July 31, 7:00 p.m. through Saturday, August 1, 2:00 p.m. Banner hosting services at the UNC System Office will install upgrades to the Banner production systems environment. During the upgrade period, all Banner applications will be unavailable for use, including the Banner Report Portal, Job Submission, Personal Services, and Special Payments. The myWCU portal (and portal services not dependent on Banner), Canvas, and WCU email will not be affected by the outage and will remain available. The work is scheduled outside normal business hours to minimize the inconvenience for Banner users.
