NCCAT was honored to attend the Randolph County School System's Board of Education meeting to recognize Caroline McKee, a finalist for the 2027 Burroughs Wellcome Fund NC Career and Technical Education Teacher of the Year Award.

This November, teachers from across North Carolina have an opportunity to join NCCAT for the “Teaching the Holocaust: Resources and Reflections” program at the U.S. Holocaust Memorial Museum in Washington, D.C.

The aim of this program is to gain an understanding of the precursors, events, and consequences of the Holocaust and to grapple with the problem of how best to convey this history and the meaning that it can have in the lives and civic practices of our students.

The application is due on September 18, 2026.
