NEW RESOURCE PARTNER! 🚨

Got something broken? Don't toss it, fix it!

Our community partners at Jackson County Department on Aging will host the Sylva Repair Café. Sylva Repair Café helps to connect residents with skilled volunteers who can help repair small household items, bicycles, furniture, small engines, and more. It's a great opportunity to reduce waste, learn repair skills, and support a more sustainable community.

📅 Saturday, October 17
⏰ 10 a.m. - 2 p.m.
📍 Jackson County Department on Aging, 100 County Services Park, Sylva, NC 28779

Interested in volunteering your repair skills? Community volunteers are welcome, too! Email [email protected] or call 586- 5494 with questions!!

Four truckloads. One team. Lasting impact.

Last Thursday, WCU colleagues from various departments, John G., Andrew T., Katrina S., Natalie N., Jenny S., and Chelsea R. spent a few hours helping a Jackson County family begin the process of reclaiming their property, removing four truckloads of trash and debris.

Special thanks to Toineeta S. of Blue Cross Blue Shield for assisting with transportation and introducing us to her bison after the last trip to the dump!

Service, connection, and community made for a great Hands on Jackson experience. Thank yall for teaming up to serve!
