📡 Great turnout and a great program at the Cullman Amateur Radio Club!

N4TUN – Cullman Amateur Radio Club would like to thank Ross Jacobs for joining us and giving an excellent presentation on MeshCore and the possibilities of off-grid, LoRa-based mesh communications. (MeshCore - Official Site)

Ross’s presentation definitely got some gears turning! Several members and guests left with plenty of questions, ideas, and—quite possibly—another radio-related project to explain to their spouses. 😄

We had 26 members and guests in attendance, and it was great to see so much interest and discussion sparked by the presentation.

A big THANK YOU to Ross for taking the time to share his knowledge, demonstrate the technology, and introduce us to another interesting corner of the radio and communications world.

Something tells us this probably won’t be the last time MeshCore comes up around N4TUN! 👀📡

Thanks to everyone who attended and helped make it another great club meeting!

73 from N4TUN – Cullman Amateur Radio Club!

🎉📻 BREAKING NEWS FROM N4TUN! 📻🎉

Apparently, Technician just wasn’t enough! 😎

A huge congratulations to Josh – KR4KNU and John – W1RMY for passing their General Class Amateur Radio License exams this evening! 🥳👏

That means more bands, more frequencies, more DX opportunities… and, of course, more reasons to explain why another piece of radio equipment is absolutely necessary. 😂💸📡

Seriously, guys — OUTSTANDING JOB! Earning the General upgrade takes some studying, determination, and a willingness to learn a few things that occasionally make you wonder, “When exactly am I ever going to use this?” 🤣

Welcome to the expanded HF privileges! Now it’s time to get on the air, chase some DX, work some POTA, and make use of that shiny new GENERAL status!

The Cullman Amateur Radio Club – N4TUN is proud of you both!

🎊 Congratulations Josh – KR4KNU and John – W1RMY! 🎊

GENERAL CLASS — ACHIEVED! ✅📻🌎
