The "Waiting" is a mystical painting of two beloved hounds that passed away, at separate times. In the painting, the Mom is laying under the tree waiting on her pup, which was also her hunting partner, for the day he arrives.
Thus the name, "Waiting".
Thanks to the Bates family for the opportunity to paint this cherished memory!

Octoberfest Junior Sidewalk Art Show and Competition

Date: Saturday, October 13, 2012 9 a.m. to 5 p.m.

Location: Front Lawn of City Hall

Entries: Open to all area students 1st through 12th grade. Each
student may enter two works of art (total).

Students may choose from the following media: Drawing (Pen or pencil - black and white and monotone works) and Painting ( Acrylic, watercolor, oil, pastel, or colored pencils).

Awards: Ribbons and Cash prizes awarded. Heritage Award depicting Cullman Traditions.

Entry Forms are available at The Arts Center.

Deadline: Thursday, October 11, 2012 by 5 p.m.
