Building Our Future Together: Capital Project Update

Progress continues on our capital project!

The Rainbow Hallway, which consisted of several enclosed trailers, has been demolished to make room for the new learning environment and a new pick-up/drop-off loop.

This is another exciting step forward as we invest in facilities that will better serve our students, staff, and community for years to come. Stay tuned for more updates as the project progresses!

Last night, the Cuba-Rushford Board of Education approved two exciting overnight opportunities for our FFA students!

Our students will have the opportunity to represent Cuba-Rushford at the New York State Fair, including livestock judging competition, and later this fall at The Big E in Springfield, Massachusetts, where seven students will compete in Marketing Plan and Forestry events alongside FFA members from across the region.

These experiences give our students opportunities to compete, travel, develop leadership skills, and represent our school and community well beyond the walls of the classroom.

We are grateful to our Board of Education for supporting meaningful student experiences like these, and especially thankful for Mrs. Santangelo, our FFA Advisor, whose commitment, energy, and dedication continue to create outstanding opportunities for our students.

We can’t wait to see what our FFA students accomplish! Good luck, Rebels!

Celebrating Our Summer Feeding Program!

As our Summer Feeding Program comes to a close, I want to recognize Cafeteria Manager Cindy Winchell, Head Cook Patty Shoff, Dee, Tiffany, and our bus drivers for their tremendous commitment to serving the children of our community.

This summer, we provided 1,447 breakfasts and 1,908 lunches — an incredible 3,355 meals! With serving locations at the school and at the Rushford Town Hall gazebo, we were able to provide access on both the north and south ends of our district, helping serve children across the 13 towns that make up Cuba-Rushford.

A special thank you to Cindy and Patty for being there each day to serve our families, and to our bus driver for helping make the daily Rushford delivery possible.

This program is a wonderful example of our commitment to taking care of our kids and serving our communities. I am very proud of everyone who made it possible.
