(CCF) is a not-for-profit organization formed by representatives of the areas leading employers in response to a growing demand for dependable childcare. The mission of the CCF is to reach the greatest number of children, youth and adults in Crawford County by supporting educational and physical development through guidance and financial support. Over the course of two years, the CCF raised over $

800,000.00 to build this state-of-the-art childcare facility that would provide a safe, fun, learning environment to children while keeping rates at or below market. The center opened in October 2004 and is a state licensed, 7,500 square foot building with a licensed capacity for 94 children. The All Aboard Learning Center is a reflection of what a community can do when businesses, individuals and families come together to make a dream a reality. What happens when a community recognizes a need and works together to meet it? All Aboard Learning Center began with a need for safe, dependable childcare and early education opportunities for local families. Through generous donations, determined volunteers, and community partnerships, the Crawford County Foundation helped raise the funds needed to build a 7,500-square-foot childcare center. All Aboard opened its doors in 2004 and is now licensed to serve more than 100 children, from infants through school age. This is what community impact looks like: investing in children, supporting working families, and helping prepare the next generation for success.

Big things often begin with one simple question: “What does our community need?”

More than 20 years ago, local leaders recognized the need for quality childcare and early education in Cuba. That vision became All Aboard Learning Center—a place where children can learn, grow, and begin building a strong foundation for their future.

We are proud of the role Crawford County Foundation played in helping bring that vision to life, and we are grateful for everyone who continues to support the children and families served there today. 🚂

We want to thank Ms. Erica for hanging out with us and taking us on a little trip through the livestock barns yesterday! The kids had fun and the 4-H kids are all great at letting us get up close and personal with some of the animals!

That's my girl!❤️

There he was, all alone and stuck high up on the 20th floor with no where to go. This poor little opossum was frantic. But, in flash, out of nowhere, appears Animal Control Officer Switzer.

She flew up a dozen flights of stairs, ran through the doors and leaped out of the open window with a single bound and onto the small ledge below to save Opie the Opossum.

Officer Switzer worked tirelessly to coral the little guy as he ran back and forth, trying to find the exit that wasn't there. There it was, the opportunity she was waiting for.

Opie was in the corner, dazed and confused and out of breath. Officer Switzer, without hesitation, leaped 10 feet across the ledge and grabbed Opie.

The crowed applauded as Officer Switzer held him up for the cameras above for the perfect photo op.

Now, he is safe in the hands of a sheer professional. Our unsung hero of the day.

Opie is now safe and sound and ready to grow up and continue his journey through life.

Congratulations Officer Switzer. Our work is dangerous but you had it all under control.

As it turned out, Opie was a girl.

This week is Teacher Appreciation week! We look forward to this every year. We are appreciative every day. This is an opportunity to give them some extra love and attention and truly show them. Please remember to show your child's teachers how much they are appreciated! ❤️
It can be as simple as a thank you card. Or a thank you in person. They will love it!
