It’s graduation time! At the Adult Academic Program, we recently celebrated our spring graduates by showering them with love and pride! Since January 2026, we have had 20 people who earned their GED/Diploma at our school and were invited to attend our spring graduation. Of those students, eight of them joined us for the special event. We are incredibly proud of all our students who have completed their GED/Diploma! Congratulations, Spring Graduates of 2026! 😃🎉🎓

We love our volunteers at the Adult Academic Program! They help our teachers and staff create a wonderful place to learn.

We recently held our annual International Fashion Show! This is one of our favorite school events where our students (and a few staff members) are the STARS! ✨📸

One of our AAP volunteers is highlighted in this article! 🙂

A retired English teacher was looking for a way to connect with her community. An appliance and TV repair technician went through a breakup and wanted to make art again.

It’s National Volunteer Appreciation Week, and our volunteers are the best! With their help, our students are improving their skills and moving closer to achieving their academic goals! Thank you, Adult Academic Program Volunteers! 😄

The adult students at the Adult Academic Program (AAP) come from over 70 different countries and are learning English or earning their GED/Diploma. Every year, we hold a resource fair and invite local support organizations that may help our students and their families. Thanks to these local organizations, AAP students get help: finding a job, registering for career training, locating a food shelf, enrolling in college, learning about energy assistance, and more!

A big THANK YOU to the following organizations who participated in this year’s fair:
AVIVO
HIRED
PRISM
Esperanza United
Hennepin Technical College
Crystal Police Department
North Hennepin Community College
CAPI Immigrant Opportunity Center
CareerForce Center - North Minneapolis
CAP-HC (Community Action Partnership of Hennepin County)
