Crystal Springs Preserve is a 525-acre sanctuary devoted to environmental education and dedicated to the preservation of Florida's natural environment. Our preserve features a wealth of wilderness experiences for visitors. Featured within the preserve is Crystal Springs, a second-magnitude spring system, discharging around 30 million gallons of water per day. Our focus on instilling an appreciatio

Through our magnificent wildlife viewing opportunities, miles of wooded trails, river boardwalks, unique nature center, wilderness pavilion and extensive butterfly gardens, visitors are immersed in enriching experiences which enable them to make environmentally conscious decisions as they grow into the future.

A huge thank you to Mosaic for their generosity in sponsoring our Summer Teacher Training!

Because of their support, educators had the opportunity to explore Crystal Springs Preserve, participate in hands-on professional development, and collaborate with fellow teachers while discovering new ways to bring environmental education into their classrooms.

Teachers also learned how they can extend these experiences by bringing their students to Crystal Springs Preserve for an educational field trip. For those who aren't able to visit during the school year, we provided classroom resources and activities they can take back and use with their students.

We are incredibly grateful to Mosaic for investing in teachers, students, and meaningful outdoor learning opportunities. Together, we're helping connect more students to Florida's natural resources—whether that's at the preserve or in the classroom. 🌿

What a great morning with University of South Florida (USF) students participating in our Advanced Spring Biodiversity Program! Students learn about the unique biodiversity of Florida’s springs while exploring it firsthand through snorkeling in the spring pool. They also compare spring and river biodiversity by conducting netting surveys along the Hillsborough River. This hands-on experience helps bring classroom learning to life while fostering a deeper understanding of Florida’s aquatic ecosystems. For more information about this program and more please visit our website at crystalspringsfoundation.org 😊
