Tomorrow, 8/26/26, is an early release day for grades K-8. Grades K-5 are dismissed at 2 pm and grades 6-8 are dismissed at 1 pm. There is no attendance for PreK.

🛠️☀️ Summer Projects Spotlight: watch this week's video to see the final construction updates at South, North, Bernotas, and Canterbury.

📍 South Elementary: The playground blacktop has been replaced, along with new concrete curbing throughout.
📍 North Elementary: New flooring has been installed in the cafeteria.
📍 Bernotas Middle School: The new secure entryway has been completed along with new Heating, Ventilation, and Air Conditioning Systems.
📍 Canterbury Elementary: New light fixtures and ceiling tiles were installed in the library and STEM room.

Our staff is back! 🎉🙌 What better way to kick off the school year than all together! 💙

D47 staff came together today for our District Kick-Off to reconnect, celebrate, laugh a little, and get ready for another school year. We were reminded that one of the best parts of D47 is the people we get to work alongside every day.

Dr. Hinz, the Board of Education, and CLETA leadership helped kick off the day, and our keynote speaker Blake Williams reminded us of the importance of lending a hand when others need support, and being willing to grab a hand when we need it, too. A great reminder as we head into a new year together!
