📢❤️ OUR HEARTFELT FAREWELL❤️ 📢
"Dearest CLFOGE Community,
It is with heavy hearts that we announce Crystal Lake Friends of Gifted Education is officially disbanding after almost 45 years of supporting the D47 EC program, along with its teachers, students and families. We are especially grateful to District 47 for our partnership over the years and never took that relationship for granted.
A mighty thank you to all the businesses, organizations and individuals that have supported CLFOGE's mission through the decades and made events like the Book Sale, Challenger Missions, Summer Enrichment Fair, STEAM on the Farm and various family nights happen.
This support translated into EC teachers and EC classrooms receiving new books and resources, end-of-year competition medals, Sphero coding robots, IAGC educational conference registrations and more!
Plans are in place to spend down our remaining funds by facilitating teacher wish list items and sponsoring an EC field trip to Challenger Learning Center this coming Fall.
We are proud of our accomplishments as an organization and are hopeful that you continue to find and create opportunities to foster support for our gifted and talented families in our community, as well as for the systems that aim to provide them with enrichment services.
A few individuals will transition this Facebook community to a new page dedicated to a similar mission. Details will be shared as they become available, allowing for a transition period before this page is terminated. We hope you'll join us there when the time comes!
