At age 16, I began teaching beginners at Piano Trends Music Company, and I have
always felt privileged to be under the tutelage of Mr. Tim Paul and Mrs. I also have a wide range of teaching experience that I feel enriches my piano instruction. I've been teaching 8th grade English in Palatine since 2006, and prior to that, had some experience at the high school level. Most recently, I've become interested in practicing and teaching Mindfulness, which lends itself well within the study of music. I've seen great results in having students practice techniques such as following their breaths, learning finger yoga movements, and creating personal mantras based in loving-kindness. Students in my program learn classical piano technique and cultivate deep inner confidence. My in-home studio is located by Main Beach in Crystal Lake, so many parents enjoy a nice stroll along the lake or take younger siblings to the nearby park (all within walking distance). During lessons, students are sure to be greeted by one of my two cats - hope you're not allergic! Private lessons are 30 minutes at $30.00 per lesson. Throughout the year, various opportunities present themselves for group lessons and/or piano camps. These wonderful experiences allow students to connect with other students. Prices vary.
