Dear Students & Parents,
I would like to share an announcement I hoped I would not have to make. As many of you know, lessons have been on pause for the last 2 months due to the ongoing pandemic. After a very long time of thought and much consideration, I had decided to close my doors. Maybe not forever, but at least for the foreseeable future.
Since I do not have a private studio space, I have been providing lessons to my clients in one of two ways: Inviting students, parents, and sometimes even siblings into my home, or coming to my client’s homes for instruction. Due to the ongoing and uncertain threat of COVID-19, these options are unrealistic and unsafe during this time and for the foreseeable future. As a teacher, I no longer feel comfortable exposing myself, my family, and my students to the possibilities of this pandemic.
I understand for many of my students, especially my younger ones, this may seem devastating. However, my top priority is the safety and well-being of my students and their families. I hope someday down the road, I will get an opportunity to re-open and continue to share my passion for music and guitar with those who practice with me. At this time, I am embarking on and exploring other career opportunities that have recently been presented.
I started teaching lessons when I was just 16. Now, more than 10 years later, I am able to look back at the growth of Perfect Fourth Private Lessons and the success of my students, both current and former, with immense pride. I have poured my passion, heart and soul into my private lessons business, and even though I know in my heart it is time for change, this was a very hard decision for me to make.
To my wonderful students - I am so incredibly proud of everything you guys do, both inside and outside of class. I hope that no matter what you do in life, you will keep music close to your heart and continue to be the amazing, creative and talented people I know you all are. It has been an absolute pleasure to be your teacher, and I will miss you all tremendously. Thank you all for sharing your love and passion for music with me.
Sincerely,
Hannah Plunkett
