Crystal Lake Public Library Board of Trustees and library staff joined the Crystal Lake Chamber of Commerce and the City of Crystal Lake, IL for a ribbon cutting ceremony at the new Lake Loop Trail at Three Oaks Recreation Area.

City and library staff worked collaboratively over the past year to create a StoryWalk® exhibit on the new trail. Visitors to the park can read a story spread out along the first quarter mile of the trail. There are 24 stations in all. The book "Who Ate Steve?" starts near The Board House.

We were happy to participate in the District 47 and District 155 Back-to-School Resource Fair at the Evangelical Free Church of Crystal Lake earlier this week.

Several area churches and community organizations came together to provide students and families with school supplies, haircuts, dental exams, school physicals, mental health resources and more.

We wrapped up our Principals Read programs! Thank you to all the principals, assistant principals and students who attended these special story sessions that reacquainted staff and students after the summer break!
