Over time, these connections have grown into meaningful collaborations—supporting language learning, cultural knowledge, and opportunities for our communities to engage, learn, and carry forward what has been entrusted to us.

After years of being off social media, I’m stepping back in.

In 2019, as a Dreamstarter through the Billy Mills Dreamstarter program, I shaped a philosophy that still guides me:
“My dream is to innovate and inspire diverse approaches for Diné learners.”
“Shi baa nahasht’a, nihizaad dóó niheʼoolį́įhí tʼáá íiyisíí yídaneedlį́įgo bá ádoolnííł nisin.”

From that vision, I created Hashké-Hózhǫ́ʼ Design & Collaborative.

I may have been quiet online, but I’ve been building—working with schools, nonprofits, and communities to uplift Diné language, history, and lifeways.

Now I’ll be sharing more:
projects, teachings, and upcoming workshops.

Yá’át’ééh, it has been a while since we have posted, summer time is a great time to complete your projects and that’s what I have done. As a culture teacher, I have seen vast collections of silk ties or pearl necklaces from some teachers. As a Navajo teacher, here’s my tie collection. One thing I have taught our students, is that our jewelry is our expression of our uniqueness and creativity, each necklace has its story, purpose and beauty. Have a great summer everyone.

Teaching our students the complexity our of beautiful culture starts with small steps. Teach them the basics and foundations of the skill and it will give them the confidence to work through their mistakes and develop their self efficacy and become resilient. Start small and make those small steps, eventually through perseverance you will look back on your journey and see how far you come.

For more product information, check our product description on our site. Pinon resin has been used by our elders and grandparents for minor cuts, sores and other topical abrasion as a medicine before modern ointments. Resin was used to treat minor wounds (these statements have not been evaluated or approved by the FDA) by our Diné ancestors and elders for wound care.
