What happens when students finish a CKLA Knowledge (Reading) unit? They put their learning into action!

Culminating activities give students a chance to show what they know in fun, hands-on ways. Whether they’re creating, building, presenting, writing, or working together, students get to revisit the big ideas they’ve learned and make their knowledge come to life!

This Is What Being a School Family Looks Like!❤️

Our buddy classes are underway, and we love seeing students across grade levels learning and growing together!

Buddy classes give our older students the chance to be leaders, model positive behavior, help, encourage, and show responsibility—while our younger students have someone to look up to and learn from.

From learning together to sharing lots of smiles, these buddy partnerships are building friendships, confidence, kindness, and leadership across our school!

We can’t wait to see what our buddies do together this year!

Warning: Serious Game Faces Below!

Our kindergarteners had some pretty special guests today! Friends from a local nursing home joined us at school for games, laughs, and some serious fun.

Our students loved spending time with their new friends, and we’re pretty sure the feeling was mutual.

Who knew kindergarten game time could bring together two generations of expert players?!

The 5th Grade XC Race has been a Jerry Ross tradition for 17 years—and our runners have made quite a name for themselves!

🏆 Jerry Ross girls have won 16 of 17 years!
🏆 Jerry Ross boys have won 13 of 17 years!

Congrats to the top girl runner Lucy M. and the top boy runner Marcus J!!!

We couldn’t be prouder of the 40 Jerry Ross runners who laced up their shoes, hit the course, and represented Jerry Ross. What an incredible tradition to be part of! ❤️🏃‍♀️🏃‍♂️

MATH WORKPLACES ARE IN FULL SWING!

Our kindergarteners and first graders are learning that math can be hands-on, collaborative, and FUN!

During Bridges Math Workplaces, students are working together, playing math games, solving problems, and practicing important math skills—all while learning from one another!

We love seeing our youngest learners thinking, talking, sharing ideas, and building their confidence as mathematicians!

BULLDOG PRIDE!

Many of our elementary students had an amazing time at cheer camp led by our talented high school cheer squad!

A special shoutout to our high school cheerleaders for being such patient, encouraging, and kind role models throughout the week. They took the time to teach, encourage, and cheer on every child—and it was so sweet to see the bond they created!

We love seeing our schools come together, support one another, and build connections across grade levels. Our high school students are showing our younger students what leadership, kindness, and school spirit look like!

Who took the cookie from the cookie jar???

This chant is always a hit in kindergarten and 1st grade music classes! They “eat it up”! Students keep a steady beat, independently respond in rhythm at the correct tempo, and demonstrate dynamics and expression, all while giggling and having a blast!

Featured is Mrs. Burk’s 1st grade class wondering who took the cookie? It turns out the culprit was Mrs. Myers, the music teacher!
