Music of Oz Studio

Dear Oz Families and Students,
I know you've all notice the changes that have happened regarding businesses on the Crown Point Square. Mom and Pop businesses have their rent tripled to make way for new trendy restaurants and bars. Our landlord is 98...with these things in mind...I have decided to close the Music of Oz. I want to close it on my terms and on my timeline. I have been working to thin down all that I own, knowing that the time of real estate changes and rent hikes are coming.

Through lots of prayer and lots of conversations, I've decided that this 29th year of private music instruction at the Music of Oz Studio, will be my last. I will be closing the doors on December 22nd and not reopening.

I want to thank the families who have so faithfully supported us. I want to thank the literal hundreds of teachers and thousands of students who have passed through the doors of one of the three of the Music of Oz Studios.

I want to thank the Office Managers who gave me and the studio years of their lives...Linda Russell, Marylou Cramer, and Amy Cary.

I want to thank Matt Fuller who patiently taught me the importance of an online presence and has spent hours upon hours on my dreams.

I want to thank my family for giving up their home in those early studio years and supporting me through all of this. And just think, Greg and Scott...no more pianos to move!

I want to thank my best friend and business partner for the last thirty years. There is no way this would have been successful without your work, abilities, and love. Thank you Pattie Flory.

The dads were out in full force tonight for our Tunes ‘n’ Jams class. We’ve never had a class with just dads. Super fun to see these guys getting involved with their toddler’s music class.

We’ll be having a summer session of Tunes ‘n’ Jams this year. Just 4 weeks in June on Wednesdays at 5pm. Cost is $45. Signup ASAP, space is limited. Call or text 219-661-9191.
