We are ready for a new year! Annual online registration for returning students is now available. Please check ParentSquare or our website for more information. Stuck or having a tech problem? Please call the front office of your school - we are here to help!

--This includes new kindergarten and preschool families who enrolled earlier this spring.
--Student schedules for high school and middle school students will be visible the evening of August 4th. Schedules will not be visible until a parent completes the registration process.
--Elementary teachers will be announced the evening of Friday, August 7th.
--Bus routes will be posted the afternoon of Monday, August 10. You must complete registration or address changes before August 6 to have transportation on the first day of school.
--If you received a notice that you need to provide new/updated proof of residency documents, you will not be able to log in to PowerSchool until those documents have been provided to your child's school.

She turned in her keys, handed over her walkie, and walked out of the office door for the very last time today... but not without one final surprise...a true Solon-style goodbye party!

Best of luck on your next adventure, Mrs. Merrill! Thank you for the countless memories, traditions, and love you've given to our school. Once a Stinger, always a Stinger. 🖤💛

Surrounded by current and retired staff members, family, and friends at her retirement party, Mrs. Merrill reflected on the many accomplishments of her career and the countless joys that came with it. Above all, she spoke about the coworkers who became family along the way.

The Beehive will certainly have a different buzz without you, and it will never quite be the same. But one thing that will never change is the love and appreciation we have for you.

Thank you for your years of dedication, leadership, and friendship. We are so excited to see you enjoy this well-deserved retirement and wish you nothing but happiness in this next chapter of life. Congratulations and best wishes!

Solon Awards Day is always filled with special memories and meaningful traditions. The celebration begins with each fifth-grade student's name being read aloud by their classroom teacher as they take their place on the gym floor, facing the younger students who look up to them. It is a proud moment that recognizes their accomplishments and leadership throughout their elementary school years.

Throughout the ceremony, each grade level had the opportunity to present awards, along with recognition from our specials teachers, celebrating the hard work, growth, and achievements of Solon students these past 180 days.

The ceremony concluded with a bittersweet moment as Mrs. Merrill wished Mrs. Filkins the very best in her next adventure. After years of dedication in the classroom, Mrs. Filkins is beginning an exciting new chapter in her life. The Solon Talent Show was packed with creativity, confidence, and incredible performances from start to finish! The show was kicked off by kindergarten students signing the Pledge of Allegiance and another student sang the National Anthem. WOW.

Students wowed the audience with their talents, including beautiful piano melodies to energetic dance routines, gymasts showing off their strengths, dancers showcased their hard work, and the beautiful voices who sang.

Each performance reminded us that talent comes in many forms and that every student has something special to share. We are so proud of every performer who stepped out of their comfort zone and shared their talents. The smiles, applause, and excitement throughout the entire event made it a truly unforgettable experience. WAY TO GO LITTLE STINGERS!
