๐ Attendance Matters โ Even in Pre-K! ๐
Did you know that regular attendance is important long before kindergarten?
Every day in Pre-K is filled with opportunities for children to learn, grow, and build important skills. When children attend school regularly, they are:
๐ Building early literacy and math skills
๐ฃ๏ธ Growing their language and communication skills
๐ค Learning how to work, play, and problem-solve with others
โญ Building confidence and independence
โฐ Developing routines and attendance habits that will follow them into elementary school and beyond
In early childhood, so much learning happens through conversations, play, hands-on activities, songs, stories, and interactions with teachers and friends. Every day really does matter!
This September, the Acadia Early Childhood Network is celebrating Attendance Awareness Month by reminding our families that strong attendance habits start early. ๐
