💻 Building a PC on a Budget!

Dr. Washington’s Information Technology students are putting their skills to the test with a real-world challenge: designing and building a complete PC with an $1,800 budget!

Students must research components, compare prices, make smart purchasing decisions, and make sure every part is compatible—all while staying within budget. This hands-on project gives students experience with the same planning, problem-solving, and technical decisions used in the IT industry.

🌟 Hard work deserves recognition! Meet Joshua Garza, one of our BRJ CTE Rising Stars! 🌟

Here’s what his teacher had to say:

“Joshua Garza is the definition of a Rising Star, distinguished by his relentless work ethic, initiative, and passion for technical mastery. In the shop, Joshua is consistently the first student to step up whenever an extra set of hands is needed, bringing energy, dependability, and teamwork to every task. He routinely goes above and beyond to ensure projects are completed to the highest standard, never cutting corners and always striving for excellence. Driven by a true dedication to his craft, Joshua puts in significant extra time outside of school hours to practice, refine, and perfect his technical welding skills. This impressive self-motivation, paired with his helpful nature in the shop, makes Joshua Garza an exceptional nominee for Rising Star recognition.”

We’re proud of your dedication and accomplishments, Joshua! 👏
