A group of amateur historians, genealogists, natives, and lovers of Crouse NC area have gathered together in the hopes of documenting all they know and love about this little town. If you fit the above description or you are interested in knowing more about Crouse, please "like" this page. Do you know lots about Crouse? Have lots of photos made in Crouse? Want to learn more about Crouse? Then, please join us the 2nd Tuesday of each month from 4-6pm at the Crouse United Methodist Church Fellowship Hall located at 3311 Crouse School Road Crouse, NC 28033. It's Thursday and time for the 36th weekly installment of "Did You Know? 250 Years, Celebrating One Community", enjoy.
In the coming weeks we will be taking a look at the Sears House, Crouse Potato House, the Cotton Gin, Christmas Boogering, Berge Beam, and much more!!!
The US Sesquicentennial – the 250th anniversary of the signing of the Declaration of Independence on July 4, 1776 – is in the past but the Crouse Community History & Photo Project is proud to announce the continuation of its very popular, "Did You Know?" series.
This engaging weekly initiative will continue to spotlight fascinating historical events, figures, and milestones from the Crouse community's rich 250+ year history, drawing from a vast archive of information and photographs collected over the past 13 years.
Designed to educate, inspire, and unite residents, the program invites everyone in Lincoln County and beyond to rediscover the local roots that intertwine with the nation's founding story.
