Mrs. Standefer's class did a 5 senses carnival to wrap up the 5 senses unit. The students had to identify mystery smells and sounds and looked at objects through magnifying glasses. They created their own Mr./Mrs. Potato head. Students identified 5 textures and glued them to a hand template. Finally, the class had a popcorn bar and watched a 3D video with 3D glasses.

First round District Winners! Students in the 8th grade have been placed into district teams to accompany their novel study of The Hunger Games. These first-round winners received a dirty soda bar.

Two BES students came away winners at the TN Valley Fair this weekend. Sydney Ledford received Premier Exhibitor Market as well as Grand and Commercial Reserve Yearling. Alexandria Olson received Premier Exhibitor Commercial Doe.

BES FFA had a great time volunteering at the CCHS/SMHS Fall Farm day today. If you took a ride on the Hayride or sampled the fresh Apple juice, you saw them in action!

Alyssa Herrick’s class ended their unit on the human body by operating a hospital. Ms. Alyssa reported, “We had an absolute blast working at Brown’s Hospital today getting to celebrate the end of the human body unit. Everyone did a great job taking care of patients, building skeletons, and putting broken hearts back together. We ended our day with a tasty drink of blood (fruit punch) and bones (Cheetos)! We all had so much fun!”

PreK-3rd graders all contributed their Dots!
