We had the pleasure of hosting students in fisheries techniques from the University of Tennessee today! 🐟🎣🐠

Each year, students from UT use our center for miscellaneous activities, outings, and classes. For the last several years, we have hosted this class in particular! Students spent the day at our center fishing at our ponds to collect data for one of their capstone classes all while testing different bait.

We are honored and excited everytime we get the chance to host groups like UT students! This group not only used our facilities just for class, but also to get outside and have fun in the sun! ☀️

Another great year of SRTLC is in the books! 🍀🪩📓🇺🇸💚

Nearly 5️⃣0️⃣0️⃣ participants joined us from states across the south! We connected, we danced, and we had fun meeting new people! From workshops to t-shirt swaps, this year was truly one to remember! Thank you to all of those who volunteered and served to help make these past few days possible!

Welcome back to camp, SRTLC! 🍀

This year, nearly 500 participants have gathered at the Clyde M. York 4-H Center for the annual Southern Region Teen Leadership Conference! SRTLC is an engaging experience to empower and inspire teens to create positive change in their community all while providing personal growth. This annual conference fosters meaningful connections with like minded individuals who are involved in 4-H in other states.

S’mores, sunshine, and a great day in our community!

A few of our Clyde York 4-H Center team had a great time at Lunch on the Lawn today! We spent the afternoon handing out our homemade s’mores bars, meeting members of our community, connecting with other local businesses and organizations, and—maybe best of all—just enjoying some time together as a team outside of our normal busy days at camp.

We love an opportunity to get out into our community, share a little bit of what makes Clyde York 4-H Center special, and build relationships with the people and organizations around us.

Great people, great conversations, and plenty of s’mores… we’d call that a pretty sweet day!

Our staff had a great time at the Picnic at the Fair! 🍀🎡🎟️

On Friday, our team loaded up for the Tennessee State Fair for a celebration of 4-H and all of those that make opportunities happen for youth such as camp! Our team interacted with state officials, agents, and even campers who had been to camp!

To top off our day, our very own Anna Platz received the first ever “Heart of Camp” award endowed by Harry and Alice Ann Moore, two great friends of the Tennessee 4-H Foundation! This award celebrates a member of camp staff who truly has a heart for camp!

We 💚 our summer staff!

For nearly 3 months, our seasonal staff members join us from over 5 different states to help fuel the summer! No matter if it’s summer camp programming, watering flowers, cooking, or anything in between, we are so thankful for all that they do! We couldn’t make camp happen without them! 🍀

5 weeks of summer camp have come to an end! 🍀🛶🤿

This week concluded four weeks of junior camp and one week of junior high camp! While 25 days of camp are over, we’re so excited to share more moments and memories through our summer gallery! Watch out for a recap video very soon!

This summer could not have been possible without all of our agents, adult volunteers, teen leaders, camp staff, and especially our campers! We are already looking forward to next summer!

Making memories with friends new and old is the best part of camp! 💚⏲️🌻🤿🏹

Tuesday had so many incredible memories that even pictures could not put into words! We made salsa today, had Dutch oven cooking classes, and so many more things that we may or may not have ever done before!

Dancing our way into Tuesday of Week 4 of Junior Camp! 🪩🕺😎

Our campers had a blast as we kicked off the beginning of the last week of camp! We karaoked, we hit the griddy, and so much more! From deep water tests to discovering our color groups, the first day of the week is all about making lifetime memories and meeting new friends!
